Day 1 in Phuket

Woke up late today. We'd decided to really enjoy our holiday by not watching the clock and rushing our time. It's a getaway trip... We shld be out of our routine.

Took our time in lazying n getting ready. Then we walk out to the Kamala Road for brunch... Last night while one of the owner of the hotel- Terry picked us up from the airport. He mentioned a nice Bakery Cafe nearby. So we walked there to try out their food.

The price is more at the tourist side I would say. Also almost the same as KL's cafe's pricing. They have quite some variety but I picked Thai Fried Rice with Tuna [80baht], hubby picked Bacon Salad [80 baht], too for the reason of budgeting. As for beverage we ordered Ice Latte (for me) and hot Espresso (for hubby). Cost at 50 baht and 40 baht respectively. As we took the photos on digital camera only so can only upload the photos while we get back to Malaysia.

We could not walk long around the town after brunch due to my carelessness of not bringing my sun shade that caused headache becos of d bright sun n heat. While walking back to hotel, we dropped by Tesco Lotus Express to check out their local products. Most of their goods are same as ours, but they have porky products we can't get in Tesco. Bought some pork floss back for breakfast, guava, two bottles of Apple flavour soda water to rejuvenate the dehydration.

Chilled back in the room, but there's no water supply as there's piping problem as well as wifi service is down. Terry came over to apologise and explain that these issue happened quite often but they will get things fixed real fast. Well, we booked a budget hotel/inn and paying at a low price... How much more could we ask for when the hotel upgraded our room without any request, and the fact that we basically have the whole hotel to ourselves due to the low season month in Phuket?

Not long after the Internet problem, the electricity was cut off totally too. Terry informed that there's problem with the main cable on the road. Seems like the entire cable was broken. I am not surprised because I heard some sound on the pole as we walked out this morning/noon.

We were sort of stucked in the room not knowing what to do. We can't go out because I have no shade and was having headache; and, the room is stuffy. Hubby offered to walk out to the main road and get me a shade, how sweet is he. I praise God for a loving and caring hubby who always put me before himself. I'm happy with it!! It's a lovely gift from my lovely hubby.

The sky turned dark and I heard the wind blowing. I prayed real hard for the Lord to hold the rain until hubby is back so he would not be wet. Whenever the wind blows, I stopped my reading and pray. God answered my prayer, though the sky was dark and the winds was blowing, hubby got back d.r.y. :)

The rain came later, heavily. As though God was trying to wash away the heat and cool our day down. It was amazing sitting in the balcony enjoying the breeze in the time when we were out of electricity. God is simply awesome, He used the nature to bless us in situations. Soon after the rain stopped, the heat start to rise and next thing we know- the electric supply is back, so as the water and wifi... How amazing! God plans everything in such an amazing order. Who could do all these other than our Soverign God? Praise Him for He is almighty!!
